About
The State Coalition for Remediation of Drycleaners (SCRD) was established in 1998, with support from the U.S. EPA Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation. The Coalition includes states with established drycleaner remediation programs (member states) and states without drycleaner-specific remediation programs but who are involved in the remediation of drycleaner sites under other authorities (represented states).
The Coalition’s primary objectives are:
- To provide a forum for the exchange of information.
- Discussion of implementation issues related to drycleaner remediation programs.
- Include participation from states that are active in the remediation of drycleaner sites under other authorities.
- Share information and lessons learned from drycleaners contamination investigation and cleanup.
- Encourage the use of innovative technologies in drycleaner site assessment and remediation.
SCRD meets on a quarterly basis via conference/web calls. Any state or agency that has an interest in drycleaner remediation is welcome to attend the calls. The primary purpose of the calls is to network and share information and case studies. Generally the calls include a presentation from one of the states or a guest presenter. See the Publications page for selected presentations from past meetings. SCRD has also published several technical publications pertaining to drycleaners investigation and cleanup. These are also available on the Publications page.
If you are affiliated with a regulatory agency that is involved in drycleaner cleanups and you would like to participate in SCRD please contact:
