The Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste Management Officials (ASTSWMO) is pleased to invite State and Territorial (State) Brownfields, Federal Facilities, Hazardous Waste, Materials Management, Superfund, and Tanks programs’ members, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Headquarters and Regional staff, Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal Agency officials, and other partners to the October 20-21, 2022, ASTSWMO Annual Meeting in Arlington, VA. Due to limitations on hotel meeting space capacity and accommodations availability, priority attendance will be given to our members, federal officials, and invited guests.

ASTSWMO will feature the theme of “Protecting our Land Through Inclusive and Effective Cleanups. The theme and several sessions during this year’s meeting will showcase how we can work together to move sites towards restoration for communities to put back to use.

ASTSWMO GIVES BACK RECIPIENT: Robbi and Matthew’s Busload of Books

Since April 2015, ASTSWMO has been supporting local community non-profits in the cities in which we hold our meetings. Since ASTSWMO began accepting donations, we have raised more than $13,000 for various organizations working with students, recycling, food waste and species rehabilitation and conservation.

The chosen charity for the 2022 ASTSWMO Annual Meeting is “Robbi and Matthew’s Busload of Books”. They are a Writer and Illustrator Husband/Wife Duo, creators of the critically acclaimed “Cookie Chronicles” book series. They plan on living and traveling in a tiny home school bus (with their 4 kids), visiting Title I schools in all 50 states, and giving away 25,000 free books to students and teachers from low-income communities.
