Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste Management Officials Press Release on the National Drinking Water Standards for PFAS

ASTSWMO is pleased that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR). State and Territorial waste programs understand that as the new federal standards are adopted and implemented by States and Territories there will be significant challenges to our partners in the drinking water program. ASTSWMO emphasizes the need for our drinking water and land programs to work hand-in hand as these standards will have implications not only for our cleanup stakeholders but our State waste response programs.
