Annual Tanks Update Survey and Archives

The Annual Tanks Update is a nationwide effort led by the ASTSWMO Financial Responsibility Task Force and hosted by the State of Washington, to gather consistent, year to year information from state and territorial tank programs. These data help agencies track trends, understand funding and coverage structures, and support informed decision making across the tanks community. The Update was previously managed by Vermont and continues as a collaborative, state driven project supported by ASTSWMO’s membership.

Thank you to all states and territories that submitted their 2025 Annual Tanks Update. Your timely participation ensures this resource remains accurate and valuable to the entire community. If you have already submitted your form but need to correct or update any of your responses, please do not resubmit the form. Instead, email the item(s) requiring revision to Keith Bradley Hewitt at pliamail@plia.wa.gov, and your update will be processed.

We will be posting the compiled results of the Annual Tanks Update once all submissions have been reviewed for completeness and accuracy. In addition, we are developing an improved webpage to make accessing past and current information easier. We are also working to update and enhance the Annual Tanks Update form itself so that future submissions are more intuitive and user friendly, reducing the time needed to complete the form while improving data quality.
