Case Study 1: Aerojet

The 8,500‐acre Aerojet facility in Sacramento has primarily been used for the design, development, and testing of solid and liquid fuel rocket propulsion systems. Aerojet uses a 40‐acre photovoltaic solar farm to operate an extensive groundwater remediation program.

Case Study 2: Steel Winds, NY

This case study provides an example of wind power on a former steel mill site.

Case Study 3: Chevron Wind Project

A 16.5 MW wind energy project was constructed at a former refinery site in Casper, Wyoming. The project provides a revenue generating re‐use for a portion of this RCRA facility, consistent with the environmental conditions.
